About

Background: I have a MS degrees in Computer Science from University of Minnesota and a PhD degree in Natural Resources. I am currently a full time researcher/teacher at Colorado State University.

Data Analysis: I am an expert in data analysis, modeling, planning and risk analysis, mostly in natural resource related subjects. I have published more than 50 papers quantitative modeling (the link is here). Please contact me at yu.wei@colostate.edu if you need analytical support in natural resources related projects.

Trading: I have been trading stocks/options as a hobby for more then 15 years. Trading is challenging but keeps me engaged in learning many aspects of the global economics. It also teaches me to be humble and disciplined. The amount of money to trade is less important and we should never trade what we cannot afford to loss. I believe a retail trader could be as effective as many “institutional” traders. The bottom line is nobody is always better or worse than the others for this sport. Everybody will make mistakes and “shine” here and there. I hold a Series 65 license and seek for opportunities to work for a registered financial advisor at a part time basis.
